Weekday Wonderings is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different! Look out for exciting activities on different weekdays!
Join historian Andy Skinner in exploring the history and importance of one of the city’s most incredible buildings – Southampton Civic Centre! Discover tales of legendary knights, hidden bunkers, warfare and even Romans! We’ll be seeing some ‘unseen’ parts of the museum, like the prisoner stairs and cells, but also looking around the amazing outside of the building. The tour will finish in the south (Municipal) block.
Please meet at SeaCity Museum reception ten minutes before the tour is due to start. Portions of the tour will be outside so please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Regrettably the tour is unsuitable for people with mobility issues.
Cancellations
In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
