Thursday 2 July 2026
11am - 12.30pm
Event Information
Weekday Wonderings is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different! Look out for exciting activities on different weekdays!
In 1415 the English won a famous victory on a field near Agincourt when, led by King Henry V, their army defeated a far larger French force. Many of Henry’s troops mustered in Southampton and in the days before his departure a plot was uncovered in Southampton that sought to overthrow him. In this brand new tour led by historian and guide Andy Skinner on a walk through the Old Town of Southampton exploring this story in more detail. This walk will include a visit to some of the incredible medieval vaults beneath the town.
Regrettably this walk is not suitable for people with mobility concerns. Please meet a few minutes before the tour is due to start in St Michael’s Square (outside Tudor House).
