Saturday 17 February 2024
1.30pm - 4.30pm
Join Textile Artist and colourist Abeer Kayani to explore block-printing techniques using printing ink on fabric. Under Abeer’s guidance you will print, experiment with blocks featuring geometric and floral patterns from ancient architectural structures from South Asian and Persian regions. The Artist will share her knowledge on historic use of block printing techniques from which you will develop a response on unbleached cotton, using pre-mixed inks. The resulting outcomes can be framed, hung or used for your own projects such as cushion covers.
