Whether you want to relax, take time out, polish up your skills or develop your portfolio our Art School Plus sessions will give you the time and techniques that you need.

Monday 28 July: Develop Linocut Printmaking

Get to grips with this satisfying technique and crate a limited edition of A6 prints using the Gallery’s printing press. You may wish to bring a simple A6 image for inspiration.

Monday 4 August: Develop Drawing Skills

We’ll work on a range of skills such as drawing from life, understanding light and shadow and getting to grips with proportions. A great opportunity to deepen your understanding of these skills and enjoy developing your own drawing style.

Monday 11 August: Develop Painting with Watercolour

There are a wide range of watercolour techniques waiting to be discovered by you. We’ll get to grips with watercolour and explore painting landscapes, still life and more. You’ll begin to discover your own personal painting style and come home with a range of new pieces of work.

Monday 18 August: Develop Painting with Acrylic

This is a chance to build on your understanding of painting with Acrylics. We’ll explore brush techniques, colour mixing and blending. Your outcomes will include experiments and a finished piece that reflects a technique of your choice.
