Join us to find out more about this entertaining subject . How can we incorporate laughter into museum and gallery spaces? Verity Babbs, who runs successful art-themed comedy nights Art Laughs, tours us through some of her favourite objects in UK collections, theorises on how artists can use “gags” to speak to their audiences, and answers your questions about why the art world can seem seriously serious.
Verity is a Southampton-based art historian, critic, and presenter. She hosts Voice FM’s weekly ‘Arts & Culture Show’ and as well as running the aforementioned art-themed comedy night ‘Art Laughs’.

The talk will last around an hour, including time for questions and discussion.
