Artist Tour with Emma Richardson: Levitate Me: Desire, Ecstasy and The Sublime
Saturday 21 March 2026
2pm - 3pm
3pm - 4pm
Event Information
A unique opportunity to explore the exhibition Levitate Me: Desire, Ecstasy and The Sublime with the artist, Emma Richardson, looking at key pieces and finding out more about the inspiration and processes behind the work.
Known for her visceral use of paint and layered surfaces, Richardson creates large-scale, seductive works that blur the boundaries between the bodily and the celestial. Levitate Me features a striking series of oil paintings that delve into the themes of desire, transcendence, and the sublime through a distinctly female lens.
These artist-led exhibition tours will take place in the Art Gallery and begin at 2pm or 3pm, lasting approximately 1 hour. You are welcome to explore the exhibition before or after the tour. The Art Gallery can be accessed via a lift, which you’ll find to the right-hand side of the main staircase.
