Avebury Papers Archaeology Study Day

Event Information

We are grateful to the Arts and Humanities Research Council for funding this study day and enabling us to offer it free of charge.

To reserve your place, we ask for a fully refundable £10 deposit, which will be returned after you attend the event.

While no payment is required, you are welcome to make a voluntary contribution if you would like to support our work. We would be very grateful for any contribution you are able to make.

To celebrate the Avebury Papers exhibition at the Art Gallery, join us for a day of enlightening archaeology talks exploring the site, setting, archaeology and history of the majestic Avebury site. Featuring an expert line-up of Professor Mark Gillings (Introducing Avebury), Dr Rosumund Cleal (Keiler, Crawford and Avebury), Dr Ben Chan (Artefactual Avebury) and Dr Fran Allfrey (Archival Avebury), the day promises to bring the site to life and to complement the Avebury Papers exhibition.

Teas and coffees on arrival are included, but lunch is not. On the day of the study day participants are eligible for 10% in the SeaCity Café.

Cancellations: In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
