Bargate Guided Tour

Event Information

Please note this tour will take place at the Bargate (the ‘Guided Tours Meeting Point’ sign at the south side of the Bargate).

Join an expert guide in discovering the secrets of Southampton’s most iconic and historic building: the Bargate. Taking you on a journey from medieval times, this special tour with limited numbers will uncover graffiti, offer tales of war and prisons and will also include access to the main chamber as well as the roof.

Regrettably this tour is not suitable for those with mobility issues and also includes navigating steep staircases.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.

If you have any questions about the event please contact us at museums@southampton.gov.uk or call us on 023 8083 4536 (emails and phones are staffed weekdays 9am-5pm).
