Ceramics Workshop: Bird shaped tealight holders with Alex Sutherland

Join us for a relaxing and creative workshop where you’ll learn how to hand-build your very own ceramic bird-shaped tea light holder.

Guided by Southampton-based artist Alex Sutherland, this two-hour session is perfect for beginners and those curious about working with clay. Using simple hand-building techniques, you’ll shape and design your unique ceramic bird. At the end of the session, choose from four beautiful glaze options to finish your piece.

Alex will fire and glaze your candle holder after the workshop, and it will be carefully packaged and ready for collection from SeaCity Museum from 15th December— just in time for the cosy glow of winter evenings or to wrap as a Christmas gift.

All materials and tools provided. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!
