SUMMARY:Urban Sketching with Elwyn Edwards: Let's Draw People (and Pigeons)
DESCRIPTION:Urban sketching isn’t just about drawing streets and buildings. In this workshop we look at ways of animating our drawings by including people to show everyday life in the scenes we draw. In the first part of this workshop\, we will look at ways of drawing people quickly and how to suggest their movements and activities. We will also see how figures in a drawing can convey scale and atmosphere. In the after we will experiment with these techniques in the garden or outside the Tudor House Museum. \nThis workshop is one of four\, each of which can also be enjoyed individually. With guidance from experienced artist and teacher\, Abi Kremer\, you will also consider and explore thrilling\, impactful visuals from your own experience and take these on an experimental journey. \nBring a photo or object that originates from natural form (could be flowers/shells/rocks) to use as a starting point. The day will begin with an opportunity to sketch in Emma Richardson’s exhibition\, and continue in the Gallery workshop.
