Weekday Wonderings is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different! Look out for exciting activities on different weekdays!
This tour will take place at 11.30am rather than the more usual 11am.
Please note that the below tour will take place at the Southampton City Museums Collections Management Centre on City Industrial Park. Full venue address will be included in your confirmation email.
Take a tour around the history of Southampton with Dr Maria Newbery (Curator of Maritime and Local Collections) at our Collections Management Centre, where many of the objects in our collection are housed. Discover more about how our collections are looked after and the process that goes into their acquisition and conservation, and catch a glimpse of many of the items behind the scenes. Regrettably this walk is not suitable for people with mobility concerns.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
