Pottery Painting: Decorate your own Christmas Ceramics with Amy Morris

Saturday 22 November 2025
2pm - 4pm

Event Information

A great opportunity to make some unique Christmas decorations with, unusually, no limit on the number of pieces you can decorate. Join New Forest ceramic artist Amy Morris to decorate and glaze a beautiful range of her pre-fired ceramic blanks ready for Christmas. Under Amy’s guidance use underglaze colours to enhance and decorate hanging decorations, small pots and bowls. Amy will then glaze fire the resulting pieces and deliver them back to Tudor House for collection within two weeks. No previous experience is required and all are welcome.

Amy will take away your decorated pieces to fire, and then return them for collection to SeaCity Museum next door.

About the artist: Amy studied Art at the University of Exeter and specialised in ceramics. As well as running her own Pottery classes and producing her own beautiful hand build ceramics in her garden studio, Amy is now part of our learning team and delivers workshops for us at SeaCity Museum, Tudor House & Garden and Southampton City Art Gallery.

This session will last two hours. All materials are provided but you may wish to bring your own apron.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
