Art for All: International Women’s Day – Drawing Herstory
Sunday 8 March 2026
10.30am / 11.30am / 12.30pm
Event Information
Join the Tudor House team to create artwork inspired by women from Southampton’s history (or more aptly herstory!) at this enjoyable and accessible workshop for all. We will be working with a range of dry media and collage, with lots of different options available to appeal to reluctant doodlers and avid drawers alike!
From Southampton born Kate Sclater, who was among the leaders of the 1888 matchgirls’ strike, to Amelia Earheart, who arrived in Southampton following her transatlantic flight in 1928, we will discover and celebrate the remarkable stories of some remarkable women.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and levels of experience. All materials are provided. We will be here from 10.30am – 2pm; just book the time which suits you best to arrive. The activities should take between 45 minutes and 90 minutes to complete.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
