Exhibition Tour with Dan Matthews: New Acquisitions
Wednesday 18 March 2026
11am - 12noon
Event Information
Join Dan Matthews for a tour of our New Acquisitions exhibition to find out more about the latest artworks acquired into our permanent collection and the stories behind how they got here.
Among the works on display will be a sketch by 19th-century French artist Édouard Vuillard, a screen-print by Elisabeth Frink and a series of works by Julian Grater that were acquired after Arctic Mirage, his 2024 exhibition at Southampton City Art Gallery.
This tour will take place in the Art Gallery and begin at 11am, lasting approximately 1 hour. You are welcome to explore the exhibition before or after the tour. The Art Gallery can be accessed via a lift, which you’ll find to the right-hand side of the main staircase.
Pay what you can
