Tuesday 11 February 2025 @ 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Join historian and museums’ learning officer Andy Skinner for a talk exploring a fascinating part of Southampton’s history. Each talk is designed to be fun, accessible, and rooted in the history and archaeology collections of the city.
The story of Ellen Wren is tragic: she was a woman who stole and drank her way to an early grave and whose death in squalid conditions led to enormous changes in housing in Southampton. This talk charts her life from cradle, to grave, and beyond.
