Home Education Discovering History Sessions: Prehistory (6yrs+)

Event Information

Our new Home Education Discovering History sessions are designed with home educating families in mind and aimed at children aged 6yrs and over.

Each session draws on our rich collection of stories and objects and children and adults alike will get the opportunity to discover amazing things about the history of Southampton… and beyond!

Each ticket is for one young person and one adult – if you’re bringing along more adults please book an extra space for £3 extra. Admission to the museum is included on the day of the session, so you can make the most of your day with us!

This activity will take place in our lovely education room. It can get a bit tight for space though, so if you are able to leave pushchairs outside we’d be very grateful!

In this session we’ll be travelling back to prehistory by finding more about how our ancestors in the stone age, Bronze Age and Iron Age lived. Handle real objects from thousands of years ago and discover amazing tales about what Southampton was like in the distant past!
