In Conversation with Emma Richardson and Ceri Hand
Saturday 7 March 2026
2.30pm - 3.30pm
Event Information
Join Emma Richardson in conversation with Ceri Hand of the Extraordinary Creatives podcast as they discuss the themes of Emma’s exhibition Levitate Me: Desire, Ecstasy and The Sublime and the journey to its fruition.
Known for her visceral use of paint and layered surfaces, Richardson creates large-scale, seductive works that blur the boundaries between the bodily and the celestial. Levitate Me features a striking series of oil paintings that delve into the themes of desire, transcendence, and the sublime through a distinctly female lens.
This event will take place in the Art Gallery’s Lecture Theatre (accessed via the ground floor) and begins at 2.30pm, lasting approximately 1 hour. You are welcome to explore the exhibition before or after the event, admission to the Art Gallery is free of charge.
