Humans experience the world in many different ways. How should we think about these different experiences? What commonalities are there, and how might they matter? In these engaging talks, held in the Gallery’s iconic Baring Room, researchers from the philosophy department at Southampton University will explain and explore some key issues about our experience of the world.
We will meet in the Gallery Foyer at 1.45pm for each of these talks, before being guided up to the Gallery. to begin at 2pm Talks will last no more than an hour and there will also be a chance to explore the current collection display after the talk.

Sat 26 April: ‘Human and Animal Experience’ – Dr Heather Browning
Sat 10 May Maternal experiences, maternal bodies’ – Professor Fiona Woollard
