Event Information

Suitable for 11 – 16 year olds, this three day course is a great opportunity to develop creative skills in an enjoyable way – perfect for the holidays!

  • Wed 14 Aug: Clay – Spend the day exploring clay sculpting techniques. After looking at the work of Antony Gormley, Auguste Rodin and Micheal Ayrton you will use these as inspiration to make your own 3D figure using an armature and a minotaur’s head using clay tools.
  • Thu 15 Aug: Linocut Printmaking – Discover the pleasure of printmaking, learn new techniques. Produce a print inspired by the work of Lucien Freud using our printing press.
  • Fri 16 Aug: Mixed Media, Collage and Creativity – Have fun being creative and produce a mixed media collage inspired by art works from the gallery’s collection using pastels , collage papers and printing techniques. Your final piece will use a combination of these techniques.

Each session begins at 10am and concludes at 3pm, and each day parents and friends are welcome to join us for a sharing of work from 2.45pm.

Young People are welcome to attend as many of the three dates as they like.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
