Event Information
Please note that this event was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday 22nd February and due to inclement weather, has been rescheduled for Tuesday 27th February at 11am.
Thinking Thursdays is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!
Back by popular demand, join historian Andy Skinner in searching for the sometimes-elusive source of Southampton’s medieval water system in this fascinating guided walk. The linear guided walk of approximately 3 miles will begin in St Michael’s Square and finish at the Conduit Head, stopping at points of importance along the way, including the remains of the Friary, Holy Rood Church, a step inside Conduit House and visiting Conduit Head itself. This walking tour could get muddy so wear sensible apparel. Unfortunately this tour isn’t suitable for people with mobility issues.
Our prices are based on helping as many people to access our sessions as possible. The more you choose to pay, the more people will be able to come and enjoy the same excellent programme of informative and entertaining activities. We thank you for any additional support you are able to offer us.
In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
