Thinking Thursdays is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!
Join SeaCity Learning Officer Andy Skinner in exploring the history and importance of one of the city’s most incredible buildings- Southampton Civic Centre! Discover tales of medieval knights, hidden bunkers, warfare and even Romans! We’ll be seeing some ‘unseen’ parts of the museum, like the prisoner stairs and cells, but also looking around the amazing outside of the building. The tour will finish in the south block.
Please meet at SeaCity Museum reception ten minutes before the tour is due to start. Portions of the tour will be outside so please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Regrettably the tour is unsuitable for people with mobility issues.
Our prices are based on helping as many people to access our sessions as possible. The more you choose to pay, the more people will be able to come and enjoy the same excellent programme of informative and entertaining activities. We thank you for any additional support you are able to offer us.
In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
