Tim’s Tours: up close with Southampton’s fine art collection!

Join Tim Craven, artist and former Curator of Southampton City Art Gallery, to explore some of the artworks on display, discovering more about the context which led to their creation and the lives of the artists who made them.

Each tour takes a different era as its theme, from Van Dyck’s seventeenth century portraits, to the explosion of shape and colour of the 1960’s to the present day. Whether the paintings are as familiar as old friends to you, or it is your first visit to us, there are guaranteed to be some fascinating insights here.
