Tour For All with Andy Skinner: Jane Austen and Georgian Southampton

Thursday 7 August 2025
11am - 12.30pm

Event Information

Tours For All are designed to be suitable for people of all ages – adults and children alike. Your guide will tailor the walk for those joining it. Wear good footwear, be prepared to be amazed and get ready to dive into history!

To celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th birthday, join our resident historian Andy Skinner for a fun foray into the Southampton of Jane Austen! Visit the site of her home, discover the terrifying reason she had to move from the town and explore what the town was like in the late 1700s and early 19th century.

Please meet in St Michael’s Square, outside Tudor House & Garden museum.

Regrettably this tour is not suitable for people with mobility concerns. This tour may be cancelled or postponed at short notice in bad weather.

20% Off Tudor House Admission Voucher On Day of Tour

As a ‘thank you’ for booking on the tour, if you would like to visit Tudor House on the day of the tour you can have a 20% reduction on your entrance fee. This includes annual passes. Simply inform the front of house team that you are booked onto the tour and they will pass on the discount.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
