Thinking Thursdays is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!
Come on a brand new guided walk led by historian Andy Skinner investigating the storied past of one of Southampton’s most historic suburbs: St Denys. Discover where St Denys Priory was and why it was so important, who Cobden bridge is named after and have a peak inside the famous leaning tower of Southampton! The meeting point for this walk is at St Denys Church (SO17 2ND). The walk will last about 90 minutes. Sadly this tour is not suitable for people with mobility concerns.
Please be aware that local roadworks and diversions are currently in place – Please check and plan your journey. For more information please go to transport.southampton.gov.uk/utility-works/st-denys-structure-partnership-project/
