Thinking Thursdays: A Walk Around St Mary’s

Thinking Thursdays is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!

Join historian Andy Skinner for a brand new walk exploring the sites and stories of one of the oldest areas of Southampton. Discover stories of Saxons, workhouses, saints and fairs in this amble around St Mary’s. This tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

This walk will begin in St Mary’s Churchyard (What3Words: ///tanks.plenty.safe; SO14 1AQ). Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour is due to start.

Regrettably this walk is not suitable for people with mobility concerns.
