11am - 12.30pm
Weekday Wonderings is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different! Look out for exciting activities on different weekdays!
Henry VIII’s favourite warship the Mary Rose sank in 1545 as the king watched on. A Tudor tragedy resulted in one of the greatest stories in maritime archaeology of the 20th century. In this brand new talk, join historian Andy Skinner in an exploration of the incredible links between the Mary Rose and Tudor House. Admission to the museum is included on the day of the talk. This talk will happen in the beautiful Georgian Room.
